I just wanted to email and say how impressed we were today during a birthday party. The party we were attending was for Arthur. From the outset April the party co-ordinator was lively, fun and on the ball. The children all paid attention to her, while still having fun. When it came time to eat, my daughter was off playing and she was aware of who was missing from the table and her name and went off to locate her.
Charlotte really wanted to go Ice-skating, before the group, so got her skates on and ventured very nervously on to the ice, she tentatively held on to the side and made her way along one side. The next thing we knew Louie, I’m hoping I’ve got the spelling correctly, came over and spent 15 minutes with her guiding her along the side and into the centre and gave her the confidence to have a go on her own. There weren’t any other children on the ice at this time, so please don’t think that he was neglecting other children. When the rest of the party did come on to the ice he was excellent in assisting them, but keeping an eye on Charlotte and continuing to build her confidence. After this Charlotte was keen to have another go on the climbing wall, and again the supervisor over here was willing and able to assist Charlotte and give her the confidence to have another go on her own.
Whilst I talk about my child I observed all the staff being curious, friendly, helpful and kind to the children, qualities that I find often missing in so many people who work with the public, especially children. So thank you for a great experience.
Hello. I came down yesterday to the Fun Factory with my 2 kids (11months & 5 years). They both had a great time & my 5 year old hardly left the ice rink all day. I was expecting to be told to leave after 2 hrs as it was 6 weeks holiday but it really didn’t seem manic there as plenty of space & we were there 5 hrs! I virtually had to drag them home at 5.15pm.
Facilities are really good although a little disappointed the go karts were out of order & the only other suggestion I would make is that you need to have a customer microwave & bottle Warmer for customers with babies. Other than that – a fab day had by all. Thanks.
Had a great time here today ,took my 2 year old grandson, he loved the logo he said ‘cogs Granny !!. excellent facilities under one roof. Really bright and clean and welcoming friendly staff. offers so much more than local competition, they should be worried! Fun factory offers more choice, my grandson loved the football & sensory room & soft play and asked if he could climb the wall lol. Well done for putting the younger soft play opposite sides to the older one so much better. Enjoyed it so much have signed up for membership. Be back very soon x
Just brilliant! Amazing!!! Yes local competition should be worried. Ice skating was brill, soft play perfect and you can easily see your child from the seated area, slides are fast and my 3 and 6 year old were in their element. The sensory room is also fab.
Just wanted to thank you all for a wonderful Halloween party today. It was our first visit and my 4 year old and I were bowled over. Staff that patrol the 4 and under bit- excellent idea! Tasty food at very good prices, so much to do there and very helpful friendly staff. Even though it is a mission for us to get to- I can’t drive so have to get a bus and walk- you are worth the effort and knock the spots off of any other local playcentres in our opinion! Will be back this week x
If you have screaming terrors running around at home, I would definitely take them to do that here. It’s reasonably priced and there is a nice area which is safely behind a scream-proof screen.
The kids absolutely love it here and what a great day out to bribe the kids with!
